S.C.I.P.S Worker at Highfield

Social Care In Partnership With Schools   (SCIPS)

The aim of a SCIPS worker is to provide support to families who are in need, to offer advice and also in some cases to prevent referrals being made to Children’s Services.

Carla Loftus is our SCIPS worker and she is happy to support any family who would like to use this service. Carla can offer advice, carry out direct work with children and/or families, as well as make referrals to a range of different agencies as seen below

She is available for appointments on Monday afternoons. Please contact the school office to arrange an appointment.

Through SCIPs we can support families by signposting them to many different agencies:

  • Sure Start / Children Centres
  • Activities for children
  • Bereavement support and advice
  • Work with School Nurses and Health Visitors
  • Parenting courses
  • Home Start
  • Trafford Healthy Young Minds
  • Trafford Domestic Abuse Services TDAS
  • Drug and Alcohol teams
  • Work with the Police
