We have been so impressed with your shading and drawing techniques over the last few weeks, well done Class 8! We  are going to further develop your drawing skills, using the shapes within images as a drawing tool.

1. Click on the drawing video below and watch it from start to finish, without drawing.

2. Watch the video again, this time stopping it as he sketches each individual shape. After he has sketched a shape please follow the method and sketch the same shape - looking at the size carefully. Continue to watch and draw each shape one at a time, creating the watering can.

 3. Once you have finished the sketch please add shading, as you did in the previous art lesson to bring your picture to life.

 Music:

This week we are going to look at some work by one of the most famous composers of all time: Beethoven.

Did you know? It is believed that he lost most of his hearing as he got older and composed music that he couldn't even listen to!

Watch this video all about duration and tempo - Beethoven style! Now, tap out a tempo with two fingers on your hand and experiment with increasing and decreasing the beat.

Now you can watch and listen to one of his most famous compositions - Symphony No 5.  You might recognise it!

Task: complete some research about Beethoven using this sheet (you can print the sheet or copy the layout in your book). You can include facts that you have seen on the videos too.

PSHE:

Whilst we are staying safe at home it gives us time to see and think more about our local area. What are the positives about the area that we live in? What are the negatives? Today you will learn about community: what is is; who it is; how it can have an impact on the area that you reside (live) in and how you can play a positive role when the restrictions are lifted. You might think about some ways that you can change things for the better, with the help of your family.

Read this presentation and then complete the sheet (there are multiple sheet layout options so have a look through and print your favourite one to complete your work). You can also complete the work in your book.
