Strong Foundations in Reception

We would like to invite you into school to share important information about your child’s education at Highfield.

 The session will be an opportunity to share more about how children learn, what we are working on in school and, most importantly, how you can support your child’s learning and development at home.

We will talk about areas such as communication and language, reading, independence, routines and developing positive learning behaviours, as well as sharing simple, practical ideas that can easily be used at home.

Our aim is to help parents feel confident about the small things that can make a big difference and to ensure that school and home are working together to give children the strongest possible start.

There will also be an opportunity to ask questions and find out more about the curriculum and how we support children throughout their time in school.
